Folate-based drugs are used to enhance the efficacy of 5-FU.</p> <p>The drug candidate arfolitixorin is the first and only direct-acting folate that does not need to be converted in the body. Studies have shown that arfolitixorin results in higher concentrations in tumor tissue than existing drugs, and clinical data indicates promising effect.</p> <p>Isofol has strong potential to contribute something unique: a product that, when approved, can be integrated into a globally established treatment regimen for some of the world’s most common cancers.
