Semcon is acquiring the Swedish sustainability consulting company Goodpoint. The acquisition further strengthens Semcon's ability to support organisations in the transition required to create a better world.
"We are very happy to welcome Goodpoint to the Semcon family. This is a long-awaited addition and completely in line with our strategic focus going forward. Through our combination of sustainability expertise and innovative technology, we cover the entire life cycle for sustainable product and production development," says Markus Granlund, President and CEO of Semcon.
Goodpoint is one of Sweden's leading consulting companies in sustainability, with extensive expertise and 28 experts spanning the entire field from social sustainability to climate and environment. They currently have offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Lund and Nässjö.
With the acquisition of Goodpoint, Semcon strengthens its existing expertise in areas such as the circular economy, chemicals, life cycle analyses and climate calculations, and expands its expertise in sustainability-related legislation, human rights, sustainability reporting, communication and sustainable business development.
"These are exciting times for me and my colleagues at Goodpoint. As a part of Semcon, we will be able to grow together and make an even bigger difference for our planet. We will also gain increased knowledge through the opportunity for competence exchange within Semcon's large network of specialists," says Goodpoint's CEO Magnus Boman.
Goodpoint was founded in 1981 and has a broad customer base in both the private and public sectors. The company will be part of Semcon's business area Engineering & Digital Services and had sales of SEK 24 million during the 2021 financial year.
